Forgetting Nemo

This motion project is based on a strong memory I have of one night at home in Bishkek during the revolution of 2010. I wrote down some of my thoughts from that time and looked back at my old diary to remember the details.

Surrounded by mountains is the Second Kyrgyz Revolution.

Tonight the electricity is on. I’m watching Nemo because it’s my baby brother’s favorite.

If I watch Nemo, I will feel sleepy, and if I’m asleep, morning will come.

And with the sun, everyone will be safe. Right?

My papa is outside now protecting the house. A man gave him a rifle.

We practiced an escape route. At least we will leave soon.

What about my friends this is their home. When I fall asleep, everything will be okay?
